ABOUT US
campus

TSOA is located at Cattle Track Arts Compound in Scottsdale, AZ, a dynamic arts community and historic campus with ties to TSOA’s previous Arizona locations. Students work within an expansive studio environment, with access to shared woodshop, gallery, and event spaces at Cattle Track, sharing a culture of experimental building with its vibrant community of artists in residence. The arts compound was founded by George Ellis, an engineer and builder who was renowned for his innovative and resourceful use of local materials, and constructed Frank Lloyd Wright’s Rose Pauson house in Phoenix.

Numerous cultural, recreational, and culinary experiences are within a short biking or driving distance from the campus. Cattle Track offers an ideal environment for students to experiment with building within a supportive community setting, serving as a springboard for individual experiments in design and building as a critical response to the most urgent environmental and societal issues of today.
